Do you have a dream that has been a part of YOU for as long as you can remember? Something you ache to accomplish or achieve? Maybe it’s something you imagined as a child that even into the logical and sensible years of adulthood you haven’t been able to shake…..for some reason that dream withstands all the storms that discouragement and “better judgement” can blow at it. Have you ever thought perhaps there’s a reason that dream won’t go away?
Let’s take a closer look at this persistent dream of yours! Let’s start with a journal entry in the form of an interview….. A nationally recognized monthly magazine has approached you to do a story on you and your dream….you pick the magazine and where the interview will take place……
Here are a few questions to Kickstart the “interview”:
1) How old were you when you first knew this was important to you?
2) Who has influenced you as this dream has developed?
3) Tell me about some of the discouragement you’ve met along the way? How did you handle it?
4) Did you ever think at some point you were close to making it a reality? What happened?
5) Has this dream changed or grown in any way over the course of time? Has that been a positive for your life or a detraiment in some way?
Put yourself in the shoes of the magazine interviewer and come up with more questions specific to your dream. And remember, this is your journal for yours eyes only if you so choose, therefore, anything goes!
